I've actually never made a new year's resolution before...so this is my first. And I only made it up minutes before or after(I don't remember >.<'') the countdown.

Well, here it is again: This year I will not let my mother or uncle get to me. Yeah!!

But it was broken within ten minutes into 2007. If you don't want to know, don't read the next little paragraph.

Heehee! invisible, dear has informed me that my new layout is done! Yay! It's not an original that she made for me, but one I'd found online myeslf. I couldn't get it to work for NuTang and enlisted her help. I've decided to save that for February since it's going to be the coldest month of this winter--at least for us. So I will keep this one 'til the end of January. Like it?

I'm sorry about your mom and the laptop. I'm very self-conscious about letting people use my laptop; the one time I gave in to a friend he downloaded something to my comp and it started screwing up. Now the only other person I let use it is my sister {only until I leave again}. I know she won't do anything to harm or corrupt it.
BTW: I like this background, simple yet nice; and I saw the new one. I like that one also

Ouch!
I feel your pain when you see your mom trash your laptop. So I guess all you can do now is to not let her get her way again this year. But if she manage to get her way, don't worry, you can always try again. Don't just let your resolution die or you'll end up in a heart ache. *hugs* Don't give up hope.

Before my mom was diagnosed with hypertension, she drove me up the wall. She still does, but for stuff that actually merits it--mostly caused by my own behavior. I think her being diagnosed with high blood pressure is both the best and the worst thing that happened to her in recent times. It made her lose her cool a whole lot less towards me and now our relationship is a lot better.
